UTM Link Builder
Tag the link once, and every lead tells you where it came from.
30-day free trial through our link (the public site offers 14) · No contracts · Cancel anytime
Paste the destination URL, fill in the campaign fields and copy the tagged link. HighLevel reads the UTM parameters on form submission and stores them on the contact, so your attribution reports show which campaign produced each lead.
Conventions that keep reports readable
- Lowercase everything. "Facebook" and "facebook" are two sources in every report.
- Use the same medium names every time: cpc for paid search and social ads, email, social for organic posts, sms for text campaigns.
- Put the offer in utm_campaign and the creative in utm_content. Do not encode dates in the campaign name; the report already has dates.
- For HighLevel SMS and email campaigns, tag the link in the template once. Every send inherits it.
Where the values land in HighLevel
When a contact submits a HighLevel form or funnel page, the UTM parameters on the page URL are saved to the contact's attribution fields (first and latest). Reporting, Attribution then groups leads and revenue by source, medium and campaign. If you send traffic to a page that is not built in HighLevel, add the form as an embed so the attribution still records.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does GoHighLevel track UTM parameters?
Yes. When a contact submits a HighLevel form or funnel page, the UTM values on the page URL are saved to the contact as attribution fields, and the Attribution report groups leads and revenue by source, medium and campaign.
What is the difference between utm_source and utm_medium?
Source is where the visitor came from (facebook, google, newsletter). Medium is the type of channel (cpc, email, social, sms). Keep both lowercase and consistent or reports split into duplicates.
